Gouda Muffins

2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1.5 cups Grated Medium or Flavoured Gouda
1 cup Plain Yogurt
1/4 cup Melted Butter
2 Eggs

In a large bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.

In a separate bowl combine yogurt, butter and eggs. Add all at once to dry ingredients. Stir until just moistened. Divide batter evenly into muffin tin.

Bake at 400F for 18-20 minutes. Makes 12 muffins.

Cheese Ball

1 – 8oz Softened Cream Cheese
1 cup of Mixed Grated Gouda
2 tbsp Mayonaise
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 tsp Chopped Green Pepper
2 tsp Chopped Onion
2 tsp Relish or Chopped Pickles

Mix all ingredients together. Roll into 1 or 2 balls.

Mix together 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 2 tbsp parsley. Roll cheese ball into mixture.

Toasted Cheese Triangles

1/2 LB Mild or Flavoured Gouda
1 Egg, beaten
1 pouch Shake and Bake or Italian Bread Crumbs

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Cut the cheese into sticks and dip into egg and then into bread mixture. Place on baking sheet.

Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese is soft.

Serve immediately with spaghetti sauce or mild salsa for dipping.
